Skinnerboox
Skinnerboox is an independent publishing house focused on contemporary photography and visual arts, based in Jesi, in Italy's Marche region. It describes itself as a small publishing company and works at that scale: its books are sold directly through its site, worldwide distribution is entrusted to IDEA Books in the Netherlands, and Italy has a contact of its own. The list pairs Italian authors with photographers from elsewhere, and the press has also given its name to a book award, the FE+SK Book Award, which names a winner and a shortlist of titles from the projects it receives.
