Dienacht
dienacht is a photography magazine and an independent photobook imprint, both founded and run by Calin Kruse, who is also a photographer and co-directs the Leipzig Photobook Festival. The magazine is a printed title covering photography, design and subculture, favouring strong, timeless photography, and the imprint focuses on a small number of carefully selected photographers, in limited-run collectible books produced with care. Its catalogue includes a boxed set from 2012 that TIME named among the photobooks it loved that year. Yana Kruse has been its editor, designer and curator since 2018, and the house has won several awards, among them Best German Photobook awards, and a Paris Photo–Aperture shortlisting.
