Overlapse

London, United Kingdom · since 2015

Overlapse is an independent photobook publisher based in London, founded in 2015 by Tiffany Jones, who is an editor, designer and educator with many years in arts publishing, and its first book came out in November 2015. It publishes visual arts and photobook titles, mostly on social, cultural and environmental themes, and its own description says the subjects and stories address social, cultural and environmental issues. The books are sold through stockists in several cities, among them a bookshop in Brussels where one of its books was launched in 2024.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
