Replika publishing

Berlin, Germany · since 2015

Replika Publishing is an independent, artist-run platform for experimental publishing, founded in Berlin in 2015 and operating between Berlin and Valencia since 2020. It works with artists on small-edition books that challenge the boundaries of the book as a form, and its shop lists objects as well as photobooks, among them a series of cyanotype ceramic plates. Replika also co-runs a photobook open call for FLINTA artists, the Sonntag Grant for Photography, in which the selected artist receives a print run of at least 350 copies, with fifty going to the artist.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
