Loredana Nemes (*1972) has engaged intensively over the last ten years with the themes of identity and personality. Very personal as well as political questions flow into her work. In this most comprehensive monograph to date, published for a large solo exhibition at the Berlinische Galerie, six of her series are presented. In two of these she deals with primal feelings such as fear, by photographing blurred portraits of truck fronts, and greed, a cycle showing seagulls fighting over food.
