The first retrospective monograph on the work of Mimmo Jodice, destined to become the reference publication on the master's photographic research. The project grew out of Attesa 1960-2016, the largest anthological exhibition devoted to Jodice, hosted by the Madre museum in Naples; the selection of pictures in the layout, in the apparatus and alongside the essays was made by the museum in collaboration with the artist. More than thirteen hundred pages retrace fifty-six years of work, from the experimental beginnings to the archaeological and urban silences of the later series.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
