The volume accompanies the exhibition held from 11 November 2023 to 18 February 2024 at the Magazzino delle Idee in Trieste, curated by Filippo Maggia. Catalogue and exhibition present for the first time in Europe seventy years of Indian photography in a single large project of more than five hundred works, including photographs, videos and installations. Through visual accounts, experiences, testimonies and investigations, India oggi traces a historical and social path that starts with Mahatma Gandhi and the decade that followed independence, and arrives at the work of the youngest authors.
