For his second book in our programme, Vincenzo Pagliuca continues his visual-documentary research into archetypal images of dwellings that he began with his series mónos. For this new series he examines and documents the bunkers of the Vallo Alpino, a system of fortifications laid out by the fascist regime in the late 1930s to protect the northern Italian border and maintained by the army until 1993.
