Megumi Otsuka chronicles the Japanese megacity through small moments captured on black-and-white film. The book consists of 70 photographs taken since she began shooting street photography in Tokyo in 2003. Her style focuses on innocuous, everyday scenes that radiate a subtle energy, with great care for the balance between her subjects and their surroundings, and the photographs depict the inner workings of human nature, from joy to anger, sadness and emptiness.
