It is not easy to add something to the long list of books already published about the work of Robert Adams. Together with the Fondation A Stichting, Brussels, we developed a small booklet with a selection of street photographs, rare for Adams's other work, that he took in the 1970s in the surroundings of his then home near Denver, Colorado. They carry the feeling of complete helplessness at the sight of a smoke cloud over the nearby nuclear weapons plant.
