“Of the originally produced book Nachts I still owned 2 copies. It was published in 1982 in an edition of 100 copies, printed and bound at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig (HGB). The photographs made between 1980 and 1981 are for me among the best and most impressive shots Erasmus made, then still a very young man,” says his wife Annette Schröter. He took the pictures for this book on infrared film and with the so-called black-flash method. It was never clarified how he obtained this film material at the time.
