This small, carefully produced and edited book presents all 20 works of a new group of works by Cindy Sherman, completed in 2016. Sherman's particular interpretations on the theme of self-discovery, and her astonishing abilities as photographer, model, make-up artist and stylist, have made her one of the most significant contemporary artists. In this new series Sherman concentrates on the early first era of the star cult in Hollywood, in which strong-charactered, independent women appeared publicly, with exaggerated make-up, period clothing and seductive poses.
