Koji Sato's first photobook, a personal series shot in colour. In the foreword, reworked from the author's text, Sato recalls primary-school evenings: a rather strict mother had said to come home when the five o'clock chime sounded, but waiting for her in front of the supermarket Uosen was the only time the author was allowed out to see the world after dark. Sitting there for an hour, sometimes three, was fascinating, and the tatami-sized spot in front of the shop seemed a spaceship leading to another world, the author perhaps not even a native of this one, a sensation that continues to this day.
