A visual account that reveals the reality of a bank: Cresci photographed the historic Bergamo headquarters of the Banca Popolare, its architecture and the works of its art collection, and showed the result in the cloister of Santa Marta inside the building itself. Edited by Enrico De Pascale, the volume turns a place normally closed to view — strong rooms, corridors, offices, and the paintings kept in them — into a treasury in both senses of the word.
