This work articulates a series of colour pictures that seem to reconstruct, little by little, the fragments of a mental landscape in the eyes of an enigmatic young woman not far removed from the Aurélia who haunted Gérard de Nerval. A kind of waking dream-film, the sequence could be, as Bernard Noël writes in the preface, a novel of a gaze. It is followed by a second body of work made for the fortieth anniversary of the death of Jean Cocteau, in the steps of the author of Le Testament d'Orphée.
