“On 20 March 2015, in Warsaw, the solar eclipse peaked at 10:56 local time. This was the last total eclipse visible in Europe until 2026. At that time I had been living in the city for a while. I lived on Ogrodowa Street, which was the edge of the ghetto during the Second World War. Almost on every corner there was a plaque describing how many people had been shot there.”
