Published for the exhibition in Florence, the volume is a posthumous tribute to one of the most significant figures of the Italian scene, who in twenty years of intense activity in the sixties and seventies recorded, with a brave and unconventional eye, the hardest and most marginalised realities of her time.

Her reportages strike for their poetic force and their documentary value: from the conditions of the dock workers of Genoa to scenes of childbirth, from the community of transvestites in the old Jewish ghetto of Genoa to the flood in Florence, and on to portraits of artists and intellectuals among them Ezra Pound and Leonardo Sciascia.
