Created in 2021, the Environmental Photography Award of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation serves a double purpose: to celebrate the extraordinary beauty of the planet and to raise awareness of the great challenges we face in protecting it. Professional and amateur photographers compete in five categories: Change Makers, Into the Forest, Humanity versus Nature, Polar Wonders and Marine Worlds.

Taking us on a journey in pictures from the polar ice to the secret canopies, these makers show both the ravages of human activity and the courage of the communities working for a sustainable world.
