The first book by the Italian photographer Attilio Solzi, the result of a three-year research on the people and places of the neighbourhoods around his studio, which is also his home. The subjects were invited into the studio to be portrayed. Working with set photography and handmade collages in an unconventional way, Solzi offers a grotesque, vernacular, dark and naive view of small-town northern Italy: used bodies, cynical aphorisms, post-punk collages and wrecked offices. The book includes a selection of more than one hundred aphorisms written by the artist.
