Two years of Tohoku sceneries, photographed from 2011 to 2012: the journey of a Tokyo-based photographer tracing back her origins and memories in her hometown becomes a new starting point for another journey after the earthquake. The work is built from Russia in early winter 2011, the last stop of a trip following her family's old lineage, and from the landscapes of Tohoku photographed from spring 2011 over two years. Against the background of events that must not be forgotten, the dazzling fresh green and the strength of the beautiful flowers resemble the strength of the people who have built the land over hundreds of years, a memory of the land as it is now.
