Marion Ellena brings together images made between 2006 and 2021: pictures she took during her teenage years, recent photographs, and pictures manipulated in the darkroom with filters, light and photogramming. For her the becoming of a picture comes from a place where she looks for some closeness with reality and memories, through an intimate relationship with the darkroom and thin layers of time and space. Photography sometimes becomes accidental and a field of possibilities opens a window. Navigating, with the body as a guide and hands on light and paper, she works through processing, alteration and sensation, a process of apparition in which boundaries decline between present and past, reality and fiction, and the materiality of memories is felt, the outside seen from the inside world.
