Thibaut Cuisset immersed himself in this rural landscape. Without neglecting the different scales offered by the breadth of the panoramas, he renders a discreet landscape, without emphasis: not the one meant to astonish the tourist but that of the honest man, the man of letters walking a living, silent land that is only discovered with patience and circumspection. This restraint of the operator, which counts as attention to the latent substance of the landscape, translates into a concern for precise and luminous documentary photography. From this terroir Cuisset retains the variety and quality of specific landscapes, but he also offers a reading close to his own concerns, that of an "absolute outside", purified and universal.
