This work unfolds like the first cinematographic experiments: black, then the image, then black. Interrupted images that themselves seem to be fragments of a story, suggestions. There are empty spaces, which seem to hide the presence of man: a façade that already belongs to our collective memory, branches from which one cannot escape, a wall that tells us a past. The portraits, which are strongly present in the book, have absent expressions. They are rather gestures; vulnerability facing us.
