This book gathers images made recently by Jacques Borgetto during a residency at the Cité du cheval in Maisons-Laffitte. His usual favourite ground is linked to travel in Argentina, Chile or Tibet, but this new series is far from any exoticism: it is the author himself who moves his own person, his own solitude and his own perception. From March to May Borgetto immersed himself in the world of horse racing at Maisons-Laffitte, and the result of this immersion gives rise to this book and to an exhibition. The year before, the publisher had issued the book Pur-Sang with Klavdij Sluban and Diana Lui. The photographer makes us travel, discover or analyse fragmented black-and-white framings inside a closed milieu.
