Extract from the text by Raphaëlle Stopin: "Boys in a jungle cross a half-clearing, there are six of them. Between them, everywhere around them, a rustling vegetation; as one sinks into it, a humid green, deafening to the point of silence. The first of the six forgets himself in a dark foreground, only an earring and white fingernails shine, nuggets of light on his black skin, in unison with his clothing. The last disappears behind the white smoke of a smouldering fire, further away. They are alone together, their gazes link them to one another without ever exchanging, their minds already gone to an elsewhere they still have to reach. Again the earth, covered with a carpet of moss and broken, dry grass. Dishevelled shrubs. And two men, one half-lying, the other further away, standing, seen from behind. An almost absent sky and tight vegetation. Blue patches: the plastic tarpaulin on which the man stands, the other's coat, and a half-open umbrella in the background, with other clothes in a heap. One watches, the other hesitates, both kept in the penumbra of the branches. He slept there on the tarpaulin, perhaps the other too. In the 'jungle' of Calais or on the banks of the Tiber or... Keeping the story silent." Published in collaboration with several art centres, galleries and artothèques in France.
