"The mazaag has accompanied me ever since I have been travelling through Morocco to make this work. Starting from a family photograph, from my adoptive family, I wished to explore Moroccan family albums. These families, of all social classes, entrusted me with their memories, their secrets, their images. I listened for hours to their stories. As the pages heavy with images turned, I photographed. The diptychs include, placed next to the black-and-white image, a fragment of colour photograph. It represents, in bits, extracts from my travel notebook. It retraces the intimacy of the 'witness place' of my meeting with my model." CP
