Anaïs Boudot is currently pursuing an in-depth exploration of photographic means, occasionally integrating series made with photosensitive gelatin on glass, often enhanced with paint. Her works sit on an indeterminate line between the contemporary and the past. During her residency she wishes to open new perspectives for these glass images, seeking to establish a link between heritage and contemporary art, notably through the form of the stained-glass window. This approach aims to redefine and enrich the perception of the works by integrating historical and artistic elements. In his text, Michel Poivert highlights Boudot's commitment to photographic experimentation. With her project "Jour le Jour" she explores the metamorphosis of modern photographic uses by building a dialectical operation that seeks to immortalise disappearance. In our daily lives, Poivert explains, we compulsively record images with our smartphones, creating personal archives of memories, notes and favourites; yet these images are often doomed to obsolescence, erased, forgotten or destroyed when a device is changed. This paradoxical situation, in which digital images embody modernity while being ephemeral, is at the heart of her reflection, as she tries to capture this fleetingness and give it a lasting meaning.
