Photographers present in this catalogue: Isabel Muñoz, Liz Hingley, Isabelle Chapuis, Yusuf Sevinçli, Vincent Delerm, Pierre Cattoni and Franck Hédin, with five young photographers: Samuel Lebon, Hugo Vouhé, Guillaume Noury, Mireia Ferron and Alexandre Chamelat. For its ninth edition Planche(s) Contact composes a new mosaic of the identities of a city that takes itself as subject, capturing its energies in pauses and movements. Invited for a carte blanche, Vincent Delerm composes in pictures his visions and memories of Deauville, one of the beaches of his childhood, transforming the village hall and inviting Pierre Cattoni and Franck Hédin to stage the silhouettes and faces of those who walk the town in a hall renamed for the occasion: Deauville est une fête. On the beach, the retrospective exhibition sets the square photographs of Roger Schall, commissioned by the magazine VU, at very large format, plunging us into the Deauville of 1934 to 1950 and celebrating, before and after the first paid holidays, the energy, joy and elegance of bodies hungry for sun, sand and sea bathing. Isabel Muñoz, photographer of dancing bodies, conceives a new project linking the sea and horses.
