The Paysages are composed both of a photograph of the site (the territory that follows the Creuse valley from Anzême to Fresselines) and of natural elements gathered on the spot, which are introduced into the print during laboratory work by the photogram process. The gathered element determines by its size and shape the composition of the picture; it builds the framework of the image and at the same time becomes the clue by which the landscape is revealed. The text, in the form of a writing itinerary entitled "Une rivière au bout de la langue", joins through words the pictures made in these mythical places of the painters of Crozant, places that enclose the confluence of the two rivers, the Creuse and the Petite Creuse.
