Miracle-Oracle is conceived as a poem: for an instant the words are there, and one must go fast, very fast, to set them down on paper. This moment of grace occurred on 3 February 2010 at around five in the afternoon, on the old harbour of Dubrovnik. The author was bewildered because for three days her trip had felt more like a shock than a rediscovery of a familiar country. The evening before she had taken a bus from Croatia across the Bosnian border to Medjugorje, the village of the apparitions of the Virgin since 1981, where she used to go as a child.
