The series Delta de la Leyre presented here is the result of a Conservatoire du Littoral commission on the diked domains of the Arcachon basin, where the Leyre river reveals itself as it nears the sea and spreads into a multitude of arms, an artificial and natural space offering a landscape diversity endlessly remodelled by the tides; this shift from blur to legibility is reinforced by the vanishing lines formed by paths, channels and canals, micro-elements punctuating the photographs and testifying to a territory's diversity while allowing the viewer to travel within the image toward an off-frame, an elsewhere, Sabine Delcour approaching territory as both a given geographic space and the possibility of an imaginary, of intimate perceptions and fictions.
