Invited to the INSTANTS residency at Château Palmer, Henrike Stahl photographed the vineyard workers, immersing herself in their world and observing young people from the Bordeaux suburbs trained in vine work alongside more experienced growers. Inspired by photographers such as Nan Goldin, Wolfgang Tillmans and Rineke Dijkstra, she works toward a humanist, timeless photography that avoids sensationalism and represents the margins without stigma, favouring unexpected beauty, and for this project she integrated nature into her creative process by burying portraits or exposing them to natural elements, reflecting the interconnection of art, nature and wine.
