Xavier Lambours's photographs were made for a competition to find the Remarkable Trees of Haute-Savoie, aiming to raise public awareness of the place of trees in everyday life and to highlight a genuine botanical heritage in the department. The photographer treated these remarkable trees almost like portraits within their environment, the whole series paired with a scenography created by Roland Mabille.
