C'était un homme de mer is an iconographic and poetic conversation between Thierry des Ouches, a renowned photographer and Official Painter of the French Navy, and the poet Louis de Lestanville, publishing his first collection here. Like a concerto for two instruments, texts and images illuminate and answer one another across the book's pages, composing, page by page, a shared homage to the sea.
