Combing through his reading, Sylvain Solaro assembles a private repertoire of biblical quotations, critical texts and press clippings - shocking, gratuitous violence, pretentious aestheticism, foolish advice - gathered under the heading of "anger". In parallel he surveys his own private world, photographing fetish objects and models that he derealises through fragmented framing and deliberately unsettled composition.
