Hranice lásky (Borders of Love) is a photographic-literary work by the internationally recognised Czech photographer Dita Pepe, who in thirteen chapters explores the borders of love, trauma as motivation for creation and photography as therapy. The book, which is also the creative part of her doctorate at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, combines an artistic approach with scientific research, in collaboration with scientific and artistic figures and with people who examined the subject from a purely personal perspective. Dita Pepe presents various forms of love. The aim of the book is to stimulate different thinking, perception and experience of love, and to imagine how to cope with various traumas, not only those associated with love. Photography became her way of treating her own trauma. The publication is very personal and open, in its photographs and its text; her voice resounds throughout the book as a guide through the individual chapters.
