Dark alleys, blocks of cement, tired naked bodies, strings that lead to nowhere, abandoned tubes. Rien is an immersive experience: page after page we are led into a void where all things seem to have lost their name, creating a restless and suspended time. More than looking at physical spaces, we feel as if in an endless present tense. There is emptiness, but a desired one. Cepeda makes his beautiful, more white than black large-format pictures look spontaneous and free. It is a work about the process of photographing, about film, about a desire to touch and enlighten all things around us.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is a digital platform dedicated to independent photobooks, photography publications, design books, and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
