Calogero Cascio (1927-2015), an independent reporter, worked from the middle of the fifties, travelling in Italy, Europe, the East and South America. From his first Sicilian frames his work is in the vein of documentary but also humanist practice, revealing reality with intellectual lucidity.

His picture stories were published in the most important American and European dailies and periodicals of the sixties.
