Painter, maker and film-maker, Paolo Gioli (born 1942) is among the most inventive Italian artists of recent decades, above all for his ability to experiment in several fields, including by reworking the devices themselves.

Published for three exhibitions held in Italy and in China, the volume examines the films and the photographic works — Polaroids, photofinish, screen-printed canvases and lithographic plates — made over fifty years.
