Marking twenty years since his death, the volume pays homage to Mario Giacomelli (1925-2000) with a selection of works that, while bringing out the originality of his search, also offers an overview of the world in which he worked.

This comes through comparison with a series of frames by great names who can be set in dialogue with him, ideal or real: Nino Migliori, Paolo Monti and others.
