The volume records an exhibition in which Sighicelli was asked to enter into dialogue with the sculptural works kept in the storerooms of the GAM in Milan: a world of some eight hundred faces with which the artist measures herself.

Through a complex experiment she investigates the expressive possibilities of single works or of groups, of chance juxtapositions dictated by the space of a depot, with essays by Paola Zatti, Jennifer Higgie, Salvatore Settis and Francesco Stocchi.
