A protagonist of Italian practice in the second half of the last century and a leading reporter internationally, Mario Dondero (1928-2015) was a lucid witness of his time: for more than six decades he recorded stories left at the margins of public debate, moved by strong ideals of social justice, and understood the medium as a militant, passionate practice founded on culture and on the ability to build human relations.

The volume retraces the salient stages of his work through a selection of about a hundred frames.
