A story made against the grain of many other stories. When the artist began the project in 2016, the sea at Atafona — a small place belonging to São João da Barra, in Rio de Janeiro state — was coming very close to the houses of her childhood. It is a poetic archaeology in which the images lead us to the sensation of wanting to see what is no longer there. The book invites us to unveil the many layers of time and memory of this place, on the basis of a symbolic gesture: diving and crossing between two blocks of pages.
