Every day, on a sheet of paper, Blaufuks makes a composition out of his instant pictures, found images, documents and words in the languages he speaks — English, Portuguese, German, French — and stamps it with a number.

The whole is something like an imprecise daily notebook; he calls it a non-diary, standing between individual and collective memory. Fed by a run of states of mind, showing the eternal return of things, seasons, places and facts, it works against our programmed amnesia. This volume holds sheets 1840 to 2206, from the year 2023.

“A diary is also an act of resistance.” — Daniel Blaufuks

ABOUT

SpineIndex is a digital platform dedicated to independent photobooks, photography publications, design books, and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
