The publication brings together the entire photographic work of Matt Mullican and was produced for his solo exhibition The Feeling of Things, held in 2018 at Pirelli HangarBicocca.

The medium, extensively used by the artist, is examined here for the first time, through the collection of all the analogue work of the sixties, seventies and eighties — including the first two frames made at the age of fifteen and the complete series of Untitled (Dead Man).

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
