Dudovich is considered one of the fathers of the poster. Born in Trieste and international by vocation, he was a great communicator and an absolute innovator, becoming one of the most important references in the history of the printed advertisement — think of his work for Magazzini Mele, Borsalino, La Rinascente, Campari, Martini, Agfa and Pirelli.

This volume sets out to look closely at the relation between the camera and the poster in the work of the master, running through a practice in which the lens served as study, as memory and as a tool of invention.
