The fruit of two years of research, the volume presents two hundred and thirty images ranging from the pictures made following the orientalist Giuseppe Tucci in India, Sikkim and Tibet, to a wide survey of the Italian south; from Greece and its history to the mosaics of Monreale; from Japan and the culture of the Ainu, the oldest people of that country, to the fascination of the women divers.
