On 24 August the ground shook at Amatrice, Arquata del Tronto, Accumoli — an unstable movement that changed the geography of the earthquake and touched, beyond the towns of the Rieti area, the regions of Abruzzo, the Marche and Umbria. The great jazz marathon for L'Aquila broke up too and rebuilt itself, in barely a week, moving to more than twenty-five Italian towns and showing once again how elastic a music can be.
