A second edition was published in 2022 with an afterword by Erik Kessels (ISBN 9788831363549)
An exploration of the relation between empathy, intimacy and the way women are shown now. Moved by the intention of giving a woman back her own nakedness, untying the body from sexual objectification, the author travelled the world photographing girls of different origins and backgrounds, naked in their own bedrooms — that intimate, magic, freeing place in which one discovers oneself, as Virginia Woolf told us in A Room of One's Own. What came of it is a series of portraits and diary pages.
