“Who have I become? I do not know yet. I only know that I am no longer the woman I was. This book does not tell my illness; it is a document about life taking over. It tells a story of hope and of a new awareness, of starting again from the beginning. I asked seven women photographers to help me discover my new self. Each of them, with her own eye, contributed on an artistic and a human level to that search.” — Annette Schreyer
